There Are No Mistakes in Life..Only Lessons.

In: Life, Humor & Moments

Did you really make a mistake? I hear and know of people praying day and night to get children. On the other hand, I see girls who had sex once and got pregnant…. so, I conclude, either God has a cruel sense of humor or He knows exactly what He is doing. I will go with the fact that ako na clue..

When you meet a single mum and you ask about the dad… the likely answer is “ Oh, I made a mistake in my 20’s and he took off when I told him I was pregnant” . Well, I think the truth is that, that idiot was brought into your life to bless you with a beautiful daughter or son. That bundle of joy has helped you grow and mature to be the woman/man you are today-otherwise what would you be?

Question: Now knowing your son or daughter, would you change that particular moment when you got pregnant? I don’t think so….for this reason, I would not call or refer to them as a mistake.

Did you realize that Solomon was Bathsheba’s son… remember her, the wife of Uriah the Hittite killed by David… and the boy turned out to be the wisest man that ever lived… go figure.

People run away from pain and challenges- we hate those moments. I have regrets as well, but I have learned that challenges and painful moments are the final exams of a particular season in my life. Knowing this I have developed an unhealthy attraction to very challenging situations… don’t judge. Maybe you need to rewrite the script. A perfect life does not include “school, work, wedding/marriage, 3 children, a Toyota and a 3 bedroom in Syokimau” (picked from Evarita and Don).

Life is made up of moments… good and bad decisions together. Every moment makes up your life, including the moment spent reading this article by a ranting dad.

If you agree share… if you don’t agree… then it was not meant for you :)
